Dr. McCraney attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS receiving a Bachelors of Arts degree in Biology graduating Cum Laude, and was awarded the John D. Jackson Memorial Scholarship award. Dr. McCraney was also a member of the Golden Key, Alpha Epsilon Delta, and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Societies. He continued on at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, earning his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2000.
Dr. McCraney’s post graduate training began with an Internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center as well as his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Mississippi. While Dr. McCraney was a resident he did AO/ASIF Trauma fellowship under Dr. Scharplatz and Dr. Bruno Noesberger, in Switzerland. He completed a hand and upper extremity fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2006 under Dr. W. Geissler.
Dr. McCraney has Professional Licensure in Mississippi. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
